What’s new in PriceWatch 2.0
Build strategies with AI, review qualifying buys before PriceWatch places them, and understand your results more easily.
AI Assistant
- Describe a trading idea in plain English and let the AI Strategy Builder turn it into PriceWatch criteria for you to review.
- Save an AI strategy, then use Apply to Strategy Settings to populate its Buy and Sell criteria in the correct lists, apply its designed-for candle-period and indicator widgets, and raise a too-short strategy runtime to the longest candle period it uses. Review and save those Strategy Settings separately before starting PriceWatch.
- Use the optional AI Trade Gate to review a potential buy after your own PriceWatch rules have qualified it. A direct startup buy bypasses both the criteria check and AI review.
- Enable the Trade Gate and choose Advisory or Veto in Strategy Base Settings. Advisory records the AI’s BUY or SKIP opinion without changing execution; Veto can let a SKIP block a qualified buy.
- PriceWatch prevents the Trade Gate, Buy directly on strategy start-up, and Only one Buy and Sell trade per strategy from all being enabled together.
- If a selected AI Sell rule contains its own take-profit value, PriceWatch uses it in Trade Gate prompts and records without overwriting Desired Profit.
- Choose how soon the AI should reconsider a signal that remains continuously true, using the candle periods already selected for your buy criteria.
- Connect your preferred supported cloud provider or a compatible local model. You control the provider account and any usage charges.
Records and statistics
- Filter the dashboard by strategy and see a focused performance summary without mixing in results from your other strategies.
- See the AI’s review alongside your PriceWatch and Trading records, including spreadsheet exports.
- Compare earlier AI opinions with later outcomes before deciding whether to use a stricter Trade Gate mode.
Clearer criteria and more reliable checks
- Candle data now stays in the correct order when dates cross into a new month.
- Temporary indicator problems are retried, so checks are less likely to stop unnecessarily.
- Support and resistance options now make it clearer whether PriceWatch is checking for a break or reclaim, or how close the price is to a level.
- Support, resistance, and Parabolic SAR (PSAR) criteria have clearer names, making each condition easier to understand.
- Duplicate criteria have been removed from the selection lists.
Before using AI in LIVE mode
AI can make mistakes. Review every generated criterion and setup note, test new strategies in TEST mode, and begin with the Trade Gate in Advisory mode. This lets you compare its opinions with later outcomes before allowing it to block a buy.
In Veto mode, Allow is the default, so a failed AI request does not block a buy that has already passed your criteria. Select Skip to block buys after failed AI requests. Current 2.0 limitation: Skip does not cover every setup error. If no model is selected or a required provider key is missing, PriceWatch treats the Trade Gate as unconfigured, so the qualified buy can still proceed. Save the relevant settings, test the connection, and verify AI Review entries in TEST mode before relying on Veto. Cloud AI services may charge for usage and apply their own privacy and data-retention terms.
Cloud providers may receive strategy descriptions and market snapshots under their own terms. Provider keys and AI settings are encrypted locally, but saved AI strategies, logs, and AI Review records are readable local files. Protect your device and backups, and do not enter secrets in AI instructions.
